Guillimin is a compute cluster comprised of 1200 compute nodes and 34 infrastructure nodes. These nodes are each a pair of Intel Westmere-EP processors each with 6 cores and either 24, 36 or 72 GBytes of RAM memory per node. In total, Guillimin consists of 14400 cores and 46 TBytes of memory. All nodes are connected via a high-performance QDR InfiniBand network. Guillimin is also connected to the outside world via a 10 Gigabit ethernet network. A parallel file system (GPFS) provides a usable capacity of 2 PetaBytes.
- 2400 Intel Westmere-EP processors (Xeon X5650) with six cores each, for a total of 14400 cores
- 46 TeraBytes of memory (3.2 GigaBytes of memory per core on average)
- General Parallel File System (GPFS) of 2 PetaBytes
- Non-blocking and blocking QDR InfiniBand network capable of 40 Gbps to each node
